# Use Passkey for wallet backup

**📲 Step 1: Backup Your Wallet (On Your Current Device)**

1. Open the **CPcash** app.
2. Tap **Me** (bottom menu) → select **Wallet backup**.
3. Read the security warnings and tap **I understand**.

**🔐 Step 2: Verify Identity & View Seed Phrase**

1. Use **Face ID** or biometric login to verify.
2. Tap **Continue**.
3. Tap the blurred box to reveal your **12-word seed phrase**.
4. **Write it down** securely. DO NOT screenshot or share it.

**🔄 Step 3: Import to Another Wallet**

1. Open the wallet app you want to import into (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet).
2. Select **Import Wallet** or **Restore Wallet**.
3. Choose **“Seed Phrase” or “Passphrase”** option.
4. Enter the **12 words** in the correct order.
5. Set a new password or PIN to complete.

#### ⚠️ Important Tips:

* Treat your seed phrase like cash or gold if someone else has it, they can access your funds.
* Always back up offline, like writing on paper, and store in a secure place.
* Never enter your seed phrase on suspicious sites or unknown apps
